WE ARE HIRING and looking for an experienced Transportation Project Coordinator to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for a transportation professional with extensive experience quoting and coordinating large transportation projects. The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of LTL pricing, flat deck and step deck equipment specifications, freight dimensions, load planning, and project-based transportation solutions.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience quoting and coordinating large transportation projects is required.

Job Responsibilities:

As the Transportation Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing transportation projects and customer freight requirements from initial quote through to final delivery and billing readiness.

This position requires a strong understanding of freight pricing, equipment selection, route planning, and project execution across Canada and the United States. You will work closely with customers, operations, dispatch, drivers, and carriers to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage transportation quotations for large-scale freight and project movements
  • Analyze freight dimensions, weights, and customer requirements to determine appropriate equipment and pricing
  • Coordinate flat deck, step deck, specialized freight, LTL, and project-based transportation solutions
  • Manage transportation projects from quote acceptance through delivery completion
  • Coordinate freight movements and communicate directly with customers, drivers, operations, and carriers
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve service or operational issues
  • Ensure all freight documentation, PODs, permits, and shipment details are completed accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with load planning, scheduling, routing, and customer updates
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts and provide exceptional customer service
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, transportation regulations, and company procedures
  • Support billing readiness by ensuring all operational documentation is complete and accurate

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused. In addition, you will possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience quoting and coordinating large transportation projects
  • Minimum five (5) years of trucking and transportation industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing freight quotations for LTL, flat deck, step deck, heavy haul, and specialized transportation projects
  • Strong understanding of freight dimensions, weights, equipment capacities, and load securement requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations and shipping practices
  • Experience with project freight, oversized freight, and specialized transportation solutions
  • Oil & Gas industry experience, including OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) and pipe movements, is considered a strong asset
  • Experience managing customer accounts and complex transportation projects
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues early and implement solutions
  • Experience using TruckMate is considered a strong asset
  • Must be adaptable, team-oriented, and customer-focused
